Maersk Expands Its Relationship with CTP

From July 2014, CTP will expand its successful relationship with Maersk Oil, Qatar. CTP is currently providing resources and expertise to Maersk Oil as part of a company-wide change management programme designed to focus on business development, with a firm eye on reliance and delivery. This latest agreement will see CTP providing ongoing support in the medium term to this growing international oil and gas company.

For the past 12 months CTP personnel have a maintained a permanent presence in Qatar working with Maersk Oil to help develop core individuals within the organisation, who are key to the future of the company. The work involves coaching for leadership skills, process and systems, as well as developing improved messaging and communications between on and off-shore sites.

As part of Maersk Oil’s newly-developed Project Management department, CTP will be working with Mike Bligh, Head of Project Management, as part of his implementation team. In working with Maersk Oil in Qatar, CTP’s Andrew Garven and Carl Hartford can deliver a wealth of leadership and coaching expertise, complemented by their experience of providing human factors training interventions to the oil and gas industry.

Commented Andrew Garven, “Over the last 12 months we’ve developed deep and productive business relationships with key personnel within Maersk Oil in Qatar. We’re very pleased to be invited to continue as part of the Maersk team and this ongoing contract is a validation of the work undertaken to date as well as a deepening of that business relationship.”

As part of this ongoing work, CTP will be carrying out a Human Factors data capture exercise on the four Maersk Oil drilling rigs in the Al Shaheen oil field in the Persian Gulf. In addition, the CTP team has worked alongside Kenny Smart, Director of Integrity and Reliability at Maersk Oil, to facilitate at the company’s I&R Conference in Doha, attended by more than 100 delegates.
