Who is your Leadership inspiration and why?
His capability to clearly communicate an inspirational motivation for safety is second to none. Although not a top tier industry leader, his capability to connect with people, demonstrate humility and honestly directly influences the safety culture of top tier organisations.
Liam has over 12 years’ international experience in the Oil & Gas industry, spanning onshore and offshore, and has led both technically complex operational teams and projects, and business improvement programmes for both Primary Operators and Major Contractors. His experience is underpinned with a First-Class Honours degree in Aeronautical Engineering and two further Masters degrees in Engineering (MEng) and Change Management (MSc). This combination of extensive technical and business experience, and education, ideally positions Liam to support businesses with the definition, structure and implementation of large, complex change programmes.
Recent experience includes the definition and implementation of a complex business improvement programme targeting both cultural change and associated system and business process improvements with the goal of sustained, and significant, OPEX savings. The programme achieved in a major cultural shift and over $900 million of OPEX saving for an International Oil Company over two financial years.
In 2013, Liam Project Managed the initial phases and implementation of first Collaborative Working Environments globally, for an International Oil Company. Today, this project has continued to mature, leveraging a distinct cultural change, continuous core process improvements and the initial introduction of HD Video Conferencing and live data sharing. This remains a flagship project in the region and returns an increase in production efficiency of ~3% annually compared to the 2013 baseline.
